Meal Preparation

All dormitory patients meals are made by hand. A rotational on duty system is used to provide 3 meals a day. Since the building was once a hotel, the kitchens are well equipped and laid out for the task.

Ryou (28) talks about his experiences.

Before coming to this Institution I didn't even bother to peel fruit. But little by little I was to learn cooking techniques and the other addicts and staff were very pleasant. I thought about living alone and providing for myself after leaving the institute. I want to make some delicious food for my girlfriend using the techniques I have learned here.

Morning Radio Exercise

After the morning meetings end, participants do exercises accompanied by the radio outside. Those patients who are well enough, go for an early morning walk along a mountain path for about 1 hour after the exercises end. The common areas in the Institute are cleaned by all members every Monday morning. Everyone works together, tidying, organising and cleaning to recover a sense of order and of a healthy lifestyle.
